Salute to Smarty Jones


The PA Horse Breeders Association asked us to produce this video for their annual banquet, honoring the 20-year anniversary of the iconic PA-Bred, Smarty Jones, winning the 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness.

Penn National 50-year history tribute


Penn National Race Course asked us to produce this tribute video, in celebration of the 50-year anniversary of racing at Penn National.

The Life and Career of a Pennsylvania-Bred


Our friends at the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association (PHBA) asked for a video tracing a horse's life and career from the time the mare is in foal, through the horse being sold at auction, to the first time the horse wins a race, to the horse entering one of Pennsylvania's renowned aftercare programs. The video also emphasizes, at every step along the way, the many advantages to that horse being a Pennsylvania-Bred.

2024 Penn Mile Night


Our Keystone Films crew was at Penn National Race Course on May 31, 2024, documenting what was likely the track's most memorable night ever. Legendary jockey Frankie Dettori rode at Penn National for the first time - and became the first rider to ever win the Penn Oaks and the Penn Mile in the same year. NBC's "Voice of the Kentucky Derby," Larry Collmus, was on hand to call all the stakes action.

2022 Penn Mile Promo


We were asked by our longtime friends/clients at both the Pennsylvania HBPA and Penn National Race Course to create a unique ad. They wanted to publicize their signature race day of the year, topped by the $400,000 Penn Mile, while also marking their 50-year anniversary of racing. This spot achieves both those goals. It aired nationally on TVG Network.

Magic City Jai-Alai Player Promo


Miami's Magic City Jai-Alai revolutionized the sport when it introduced the "Head to Head" (H2H) format, designed to make the game more understandable for sports bettors. We were hired to produce individual 2:00 - 3:00 segments on each of Magic City's 18 players, which would then be featured on the BetRivers wagering sites nationwide. These pieces are designed to convey each player's unique personality, as well as introduce H2H play to the wagering audience.

Our Owner/Executive Producer Stu Kirshenbaum won 3 of his 5 Sports Emmy Awards for the "SportsCentury" documentaries he produced for ESPN. This clip is from his "SportsCentury" profile of legendary baseball manager Sparky Anderson.

:30 National Television Commercial, "Race Lens"


Our clients at Equibase renamed their "Race Lens" handicapping product, and wanted a :30 commercial to re-introduce the brand and its many valuable features. Keystone Films was fortunate to get legendary racing announcer Tom Durkin to narrate the spot, which airs nationally within live racing coverage on NBC/Peacock, CNBC and TVG Network.

Advocacy Video, PA Standardbred Breeding


Pennsylvania is the pre-eminent state, by far, for standardbred breeding. Our client, the Standardbred Breeders Association of PA, asked us to craft a message which underscored the state's position atop the industry, while also highlighting the significant job creation resulting from a vibrant standardbred breeding industry. Keystone Films maximized our client's budget by producing 3 different shoots at 3 different farms in 1 day. This video airs on regional harness racing telecasts as well as on the Standardbred Breeders' social media platforms and website

Digital & Social Media Ad "Racehorse Health & Safety"


Our market research told us that many Pennsylvanians did not feel positively about horse racing. Additionally, 90%+ said racehorse health and safety was "very important" or "somewhat important."

Keystone reached out to renowned equine surgeon Dr. Patricia Hogan who agreed to narrate a :30 ad as well as a series of videos such as this, enhancing the public image of Pennsylvania racing by outlining how Keystone's client (Pennsylvania HBPA) emphasizes racehorse health and safety.

:30 National TV Commercial "PA Stallion Series”


Our longtime clients at the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association wanted to promote the Summer 2022 launch of a new series of races for PA-Bred, PA-Sired two-year-olds.

We quickly delivered this spot, and placed it on TVG Network. We also generated significant earned media coverage for our client, allowing them to further publicize these races to horsemen and breeders nationwide.

Instructional Video "How To Bet"


Along with our clients (Pennsylvania HBPA and Penn National Race Course), we realized there was a real need to produce this sort of video designed to demystify the wagering process for new, younger fans.

This plays on track every day at Penn National. It can also be easily accessed by anyone scanning a QR Code on the front of the track program.

Roy Halladay "Epic Moments" - FS1


Here is one more bit of baseball programming, as our Owner/Executive Producer spent many years as a Senior Producer with Major League Baseball, where he won 2 of his 5 Sports Emmy Awards.

Stu co-produced and edited this half-hour Roy Halladay documentary for MLB Network and it aired nationally as part of the "Epic Moments" series on FOX Sports.

Integrity of Pennsylvania Racing


Keystone Films produced three longer-form videos speaking to the entire industry's never-ending commitment to the health and welfare of the horses, as well as the honesty and integrity of racing. This video spotlights PETRL, the testing and research lab which is run by the University of Pennsylvania's world-renowned New Bolton Center. Through our Native Advertising, as well as Geo-Fencing plus Behavioral Targeting and Re-Targeting, we have achieved widespread digital distribution for these longer-form videos.

2024 Diamond Creek Farm Open House


Each year, our Keystone Films crew is onsite as one of the world's legendary standardbred breeding operations, Diamond Creek Farm, opens its doors to the community for an unmatched day of education and entertainment.  Visitors get "up close and personal" with some legendary stallions, while also learning about the farm's daily operations.  Additionally, Diamond Creek provides lots of fun-filled activities for the whole family.

Introductory Tutorial - STATS Race Lens


This project is a prime example of the success Keystone Films has in engaging the top talent available while adhering to our client's budget.

We were quite fortunate to have the legendary Tom Durkin agree to narrate a series of 13 tutorials to introduce this thoroughbred handicapping tool (this is the first of those 13 tutorials). Stu Kirshenbaum is quite proud to have worked with Tom on "Thoroughbred World," a horse-racing magazine show which aired nationally for five years.

To complement Tom's brilliant work, we were also happy to have animation and graphic design wizard Billy DeMarco skillfully overcome the many challenges of explaining a product which is so data-driven. Billy works with us frequently and this is just one example of his great talent!

Presque Isle Downs, 2022 Season Promo


Presque Isle Downs re-opened for its first "normal" racing season, post-COVID, in 2022. Our client, the Pennsylvania HBPA, asked us to develop a full-scale marketing package to, among other things, promote the track's shift to daytime racing. Keystone Films launched broadcast and digital ads, search and contextual targeting, geo-fencing plus e-mail marketing all to raise awareness of Presque Isle's new schedule within the Erie market and the surrounding area. This campaign runs for 90 days, from mid-April though mid-July. We were also able to generate significant earned media, both regionally and nationally. Additionally, we crafted a buy with TVG Network during their live horse racing coverage, to help drive off-site betting dollars to Presque Isle Downs.
